Week 14: Causes of Climate Change
What did you do in lab today? Today, we watched a video about climate change. Scientists use ice cores to measure the greenhouse gas concentration throughout history. The CO2 ppm started rising faster during the Industrial Revolution. What was the big question? Causes of Climate Change What did you learn in Thursday’s discussion? I learned that the leading factor of sea level rise is due to the warming of the oceans. I knew that when something is heated, it expands, but I never put two and two together that the warming of the sea levels would rise the sea levels tremendously. Textbook: What did you learn? I've always been curious about how global warming has fueled larger wildfires. I learned that years of drought are causing wood to die, which makes it more flammable. What was most helpful?
