Week 8: Geology that kids see

 

  1. What did you do in the lab today? We observed rocks from around the world under a microscope. Then, we went to the Macbride Museum and looked at Iowa from the beginning of time. 


  2. What was the big question? Explain changes in landscapes overtime​
  3. What did you learn in Thursday’s discussion? I learned that we have glacier rocks all over Iowa, yet Iowa paid to have a glacier rock imported from England.

  1. What did you learn? Due to the movement of  earths plates, the layers may be skewed or tilted
  2. What was most helpful? Having each section divided up by definitions and not all combined together​
